General Information/Duties:

• Assist in the planning, organization, and conduct of practice sessions
• Maintain regular communication with Head Coach and Athletic Director
• Attend clinics/workshops related to sport
• Plan and direct training programs that enable athletes to reach top performance
• Instruct athletes on proper techniques, strategies, sportsmanship, and the rules of the sport
• Show support for other coaches with staff and the public
• Demonstrate positive team sportsmanship towards opponents and officials
• Effectively manage pre-contest and season details
• Complete inventory of equipment and uniforms at end of season
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful experience and ability to work well with students, parents, and staff members
• Knowledgeable in the rules and fundamental techniques required of the sport
• Valid coaching experiences or experience as a participant in the applied position(s)
• High moral character, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to obtain current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Demonstrated effective public relations skills
• Possess good organizational skills
• Non-smoker at work site (i.e., games, practices, and district events) 
• Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
